What is a computer virus? Does new computer virus affect your system? Does it damage your computer? How does it work? Why it is in there and how dit it get onto your machine? These are just some of the questions you will encounter.

Definitions of computer virus differs from its behavior or its origin on how it works. It may be a program that copy itself and affects the computer and the system. It is also computer software that is enabling unauthorized transaction to be automatically executed without any permission. On the other hand, computer virus is useful referring on some task such as using it as a program installer. On that matter it helps the installation accurately and powerful in the sense that it cooperates well to the performance. It keeps the process to continually operate without any step by step procedure, thus resulting in a smooth and fluffy operation.

But usually, worst computer viruses act as the most dangerous and harmful software that should be avoided and won’t let it happen anymore.  That is why there is anti-virus software distributed and installed on every computer system upon their purchase and/or during their software installation to avoid program corruption, data losses or the worst, system breakdown. Some list of computer viruses and their names are malware, adware, Trojan horses, spyware, adware and others.

So you must scan  your computer for virus to assure your system is clean and install computer virus removal such as Norton, Avira, Kaspersky, AVG, PC Tools and other computer virus protection programmes. By installing those virus protections, it helps to remove computer virus and keep it out of your machine to begin with.

August 2012

I just want to use this forum for a moment to post a quick note:
Syria, horrible scene, the wars go on in North Africa
China, impressive results at the London Olympics,
The Brits...fine job with the London 2012 Olympics, we are at the half way point nice to see the hosts do well on the medal podium.
The senseless gun killings, murders go on in the USA, we should be embarrassed to let this happen, American gun culture supposedly based on the right to bear arms...laid down in the constitution. Instead of cars, plains and modern transportation and communication some of us appear to want to live in the 1700 Ara...horses and donkey carts.

...The President..

The question is, Have we not seen enough of this nonsense?
SHERIFF JOE ARPAIO BOMBSHELL: All Fake! Birth Certificate, Selective Service Number and SS Number! Can you say, “President Biden?”
Image Is Barack Obama’s Social Security Card legal? No. Is Barack Obama’s Selective Service Number real? No. Is Barack Obama’s Social Security number real? No. Is his Birth Certificate real? No. That’s according to Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who is announcing the results of his investigation during a live-streamed news conference set for 5:30 pm ET today, July 17, 2012. So where are the news reporters on this topic? Hitler’s Germany and Castro’s Cuba had reporters and news conferences, too, but they reported what they were told to report. Period. Is the same happening with most major news reporters today? Sadly, Yes. Producer Carl Gallup has released a series of documentary videos on Sheriff Joe, his findings and today’s Internet broadcast. Carl shows that Obama’s certificate... More Details...

The health care thing..

FYI- I will not get into a political debate with you over healthcare reform. I believe in healthcare for all. If you've never had to fight with an insurance company for coverage or work multiple jobs to pay for cobra insurance, SHUT THE HELL UP. Everyone has a right to healthcare. If you don't agree, ask my friends and family who are fighting serious health issues and those that have fought cancer only to watch others die because they were denied the same care.

...more computer stuff...

Takeaway: Fighting the malware battle really hurts when you’re spending a good deal of your IT budget (if you even have an IT budget) on software to protect machines from attacks. Here’s how to do it for free.
Malicious software (be they viruses, rootkits, trojans, worms, or malware) are so prevalent it seems one of the primary jobs for IT is the protecting, cleaning, and removing of said software. It seems no matter how hard you try, or how much you pay for the software you use to protect your desktops, it always seems like a losing battle. Fighting that losing battle really hurts when you are spending a good deal of your IT budget (if you even have an IT budget) on software to protect machines from attacks.
It doesn’t have to be that way. I have found plenty of tools that can help in the quest to have a virus/malware-free environment. These tools can be either installed on your machines or used as a toolkit to carry with you to fight the good fight. You won’t find enterprise-grade tools here. What you will find are tools I have found to do the best job at keeping my systems clean.

Combofix

Combofix is my first line of defense tool when I suspect something has taken over a machine. But you shouldn’t just run this powerful tool without a few considerations. First, and foremost, what will Combofix fix? After a successful run of Combofix, you should have cleaned (if applicable): Malware, Rootkits, Trojans, Worms, and Viruses. What you need to know about Combofix, prior to running is quite important. The single most important issue with Combofix is that you can not run it with an antivirus tool enabled. With some antivirus solutions you can simple disable the tool (Symantec Endpoint Protection is a perfect example). One particular antivirus solution, AVG, I have found to require complete removal before running Combofix. And to be on the safe side, I prefer to run Combofix with the computer in safe mode. One other note: Never download Combofix from any other site than Bleeping Computer or ForoSpyware.

CCleaner

Antoher free tool, CCleaner does two things incredibly well: Cleans the Windows registry and removes cached web data. There are a lot of registry cleaners available, but CCleaner is the one I always trust. As with any tool, you want to make sure you understand the tool before using. And although cleaning cached browser data is fairly harmless, cleaning the registry is not. I highly recommend always doing a backup of the registry when using CCleaner to take care of this task. Fortunately CCleaner has a built-in tool for backing up said registry.

Microsoft Security Essentials

After using so many different anti-virus tools, the one tool that seems to work nearly as well as any other, without any attached cost, is Microsoft Security Essentials. Not only will this anti-virus tool work well to help prevent infection, it does so with as little drain on the system as nearly any anti-virus tool.

Malwarebytes

People are always surprised to find out they need anti-spyware as well as anti-virus protection. Of the anti-malware tools I have used, Malwarebytes seems to be the most effective. Now there are two different versions of Malwarebytes: Free and Paid. The biggest difference is the Paid version has a real-time scanner built in. The free version must be run manually. This is not a problem if you are in control of all the PC scanning, or you can trust your users to manually run the software nightly (as well as manually update the definitions often.) If you can not trust your users to run this piece of software, you might need to buckle down and drop the $24.95 for the licensed version.

Clonezilla

Clonezilla is a Free Open Source Software (FOSS) that allows you to do bare metal backups and recoveries. There are two different versions available: Clonezilla Live or Clonezilla SE (Server Edition). As the name implies, Clonezilla Live is a small, bootable live Linux distribution that allows you to clone to do a single clone at a time. The Server Edition requires a DRBL server and allows you to do massive cloning. With the Server Edition you can do large, simultaneous restores quickly (instead of a single clone at a time.) Regardless of which tool you use, Clonezilla is a very reliable tool for bare metal backups and restores.

I like Mister Obama, but....read this:-GM,too big to fail

Porter Stanburry:-
Now... in the June issue of my Investment Advisory, I argued that the "bailout" of GM has been catastrophic for Detroit. I showed that commercial real estate has fallen by an additional 60% over just the last five years. And I predicted the real estate market is foreshadowing what will eventually be another catastrophe at GM. The issue is simple: the bankruptcy process resolved none of the company's core problems. The process was subverted by the political establishment, which sought to protect one class of citizen, at the expense of the regional economy, GM's bondholders, and its customers.

The GM situation is very important to understand because it's a microcosm of what's gone wrong in our country. If we can't apply the rule of law and sound economics to fixing one of the world's most important manufacturing concerns... it doesn't bode well for anyone else being afforded these privileges, either. Most people simply don't realize that the bailout of GM wasn't a bailout of the company. It wasn't a bailout of its shareholders, who lost everything... or its bondholders, who lost almost everything. Where did the money go? To the union. The United Auto Workers (UAW) ended up with all the money. Let me show you how it happened...

GM slid into bankruptcy primarily because it couldn't profitably manufacture cars. (Yes, there were plenty of other issues, like too much debt, investments in subprime mortgages, etc... But the primary reason it couldn't solve these other problems was that it hadn't been making routine profits from manufacturing cars in about 20 years.) And the biggest single reason it couldn't profitably make cars was because its labor costs had soared. Well, guess what? At $56 per hour, GM still has the highest labor costs in the industry.

The bankruptcy process didn't deal with the biggest financial hurdle GM faces, which is an enormous (and growing) unfunded pension liability. When the company entered bankruptcy, it owed $20 billion to the trust that was established to pay for the health care of its retired workers. Its pension program, with $100 billion in obligations, was also underfunded by roughly $10 billion. That's $30 billion in legitimate claims, the union had to present to the bankruptcy court on behalf of GM's employees. It could have received a mixture of cash and equity in the new GM – just like any other unsecured creditor.

But there wasn't really a bankruptcy court. Instead, there was Steve Rattner – "the Rat," as we call him – the crooked Democratic political operative under investigation for bribing New York State pension officials. Obama made him the "car czar." And his job wasn't to fix GM. It was to deliver billions to the union and thus, deliver Michigan for Obama in the next election.

Bondholders at GM were owed $30 billion, too. A legitimate bankruptcy would have sold or liquidated the company's assets and split the proceeds between the two major claimants, the bondholders and the unions. GM had roughly $20 billion in tangible assets, plus probably another $10 billion in intellectual property. These sums could have either been liquidated or put into a new company, with the equity split between bondholders and unions.

Not surprisingly, the current market cap of the new GM is $33 billion, right around the same number that could have been raised in a liquidation. The bankruptcy court should have given the unions roughly $15 billion worth of cash or new equity and the same thing to bondholders. Everyone would be square. And the company (or at least the company's assets) would have been freed from the stranglehold of huge debts and pension obligations.

Taxpayers shouldn't have paid a dime in this process, because frankly, it's none of our business. Remember... the purpose of bankruptcy isn't to repay creditors. They're screwed. They're not getting all of their money back because they bet on the wrong horse. That's how capitalism works. That's the price of liberty – you're free to make bad choices.

The purpose of bankruptcy is to free productive assets from the burden of debts that can't be repaid or refinanced. We do this because it's good for society, not because it's good for creditors. Had the bankruptcy been handled legitimately, GM's assets would have ended up in the hands of better entrepreneurs. Its workers could have found new, productive jobs at a rate the market would bear. (Other carmakers are paying $47 per hour – these aren't bad jobs.)

Yes, GM's retirees, its pension program, and its bondholders would have taken a hit. But they wouldn't have walked away empty-handed. They would have been the owners of a profitable company, operating debt-free and without the burden of seemingly endless obligations to a pension fund.

But that's not what happened. Instead, the government injected an amazing $50 billion into the company and, at last count, has lost roughly half of it. How did taxpayers lose $25 billion on a company whose total tangible assets were only worth $20 billion? How did bondholders lose almost all of their $30 billion, too? And most importantly, how did our country end up with a GM that can't earn a genuine profit because of never-ending obligations to its pension fund? I think you probably know, dear subscriber. The Rat did what he was being paid to do... he delivered billions and billions of dollars to the union. Amounts that will never be recovered... billions that will never be found.

Here's what we do know about where the money went... Bondholders got 10% of the new GM – about $4 billion worth of stock at the time of the IPO. However, they weren't allowed to sell until much later, so that value dropped about one-third by the time they could have actually liquidated. Thus, bondholders ended up getting about 10 cents on the dollar. The unions, on the other hand, got paid 100% of the pension liability – about $10 billion, which was simply passed onto the new GM and has now grown to $13 billion.

In addition, the Union's health care trust got 17.5% of the new equity (worth about $6 billion), plus $9 billion in preferred stock and notes. These securities are not only worth more, but they will also likely end up with essentially all the company's cash flows for the next decade. In total, the unions walked away with about $28 billion in cash and stock (out of $30 billion owed). Not surprisingly, that's almost exactly the amount of money that's gone missing from the government's accounts.

They also retained a position of absolute control over the company's earnings. In short, the unions got paid 93% of what they were owed and will very likely continue to have a legal claim to virtually all of GM's cash flow. The bondholders got a few pennies. The taxpayers lost $25 billion. And GM still can't make a real profit. Bravo!

I'm sure that folks as virtuous, thrifty, and honest as the good people of the UAW will prove to be excellent stewards of GM's assets and reputation. Surely GM's future has never been brighter. And Obama's legacy as the savior of Detroit is assured...

By the way... the numbers above are all real. Most of the stuff you see reported about GM is not. There's a good reason for this, of course... the government continues to own a large portion of GM's stock, and GM is one of the largest advertisers in the U.S. Nobody wants to take on those two powerful interests.

Take, for example, what Morgan Stanley's GM analyst, Adam Jonas, told the Wall Street Journal last week. He claimed that GM had gotten rid of 20% of its roughly $100 billion total pension obligation by spending only "$3 billion." Imagine if that was true! If the company was able to resolve $20 billion in obligations by spending $3 billion now, well... that would dramatically improve the financial standing of the business and probably double or triple its stock price. Strangely, that's not what happened. Instead, the credit ratings agencies warned they "might" have to downgrade GM's debt. And the share price continued to fall...

I don't know Adam Jonas. And I don't know that the paper is quoting him fairly. But whatever the case, nothing could be further from the truth. GM unloaded $26 billion in future pension liabilities by contributing $25 billion in pension fund assets, $1 billion in cash, and paying $3 billion in an insurance premium. So what actually happened is that the company put virtually all of its earnings – $4 billion – toward its pension (again) and saw the total unfunded liability drop by a mere $1 billion, from $14 billion to $13 billion.

Assuming the rest of these liabilities could be extinguished at the same rate, it would cost GM roughly $50 billion to wipe out all its remaining pension liabilities. Strangely, neither Jonas nor the Wall Street Journal saw fit to mention that part...

I'll leave you with these two simple questions... If we can't count on the media to keep us informed about the major problems of our country's most important companies... and if we can't count on the government (which still owns 26% of GM's equity) to deal with its pension obligations honestly and fairly... what does this say about the likely future prospects of GM? What does it say about our country?

Nations " emerging"....

  • India, the emerging nation democracy
  • China, the new great power emerging
  • Brazil, another emerging nation,
And, somewhere a few blocks back I indicated that a few comments on these three emerging nations would be called for.
If we take India of 1948, including Pakistan and Bangladesh we arrive at a population figure of .../ etc.

I have tried to work on some comments,  regarding India, Brazil,The Russian Federation,China...generally referred to as the BRIC Nations.
Brazil, the  waste of resources and some of the effects on the local indigenous population;
Russia, worlds largest country
India, rapidly changing largest decocracy in the world
China, similar size to the USA, 1.7 Billion inhabitants, 360 million in the states.
Where to start ?

BRIC Nations comments...

Genocide

The Unknown Brutality & Savagery
In 10 countries, men, women and children are being killed as part of systematic“genocide, ‘politicide’ or mass atrocities,” according to Genocide Watch’s recently updated list.
In Syria, pro-democracy protesters and civilian bystanders are being bombed, shot and starved by their government’s security forces; in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, 3 to 5 million civilians, mostly women and girls, have been raped and murdered; and in North Korea, labor camps house 500,000 domestic and political prisoners, and non-party members are starved and undergo forced abortions.
“Many people don’t realize that genocide is occurring every day all over the world,”says Renata Reinhart, author of In the Course of My Life (www.rexvita.com), an account of the little-known Soviet genocide of 2 million Eastern Germans in 1945, committed with the complicity of England and the United States.
“It’s something we should all be deeply concerned about – any of us can become the next victims,” Reinhart says.
One hallmark of genocide is that the perpetrators deny it, says Dr. Gregory Stanton, president of Genocide Watch and the International Association of Genocide Scholars. They use tactics such as questioning and minimizing the statistics; blaming renegade forces; claiming self-defense; and/or claiming deaths were inadvertent and not intentional.
Allowing the killers to deny the massacres ensures future slaughters, Stanton says.
“Studies by genocide scholars prove that the single best predictor of future genocide is denial of a past genocide coupled with impunity for its perpetrators,” he says.“Genocide deniers are three times more likely to commit genocide again than other governments.”
In the case of the 1945 ethnic cleansing of Eastern Germany, Russian soldiers were given license to launch a “Revenge without Mercy” on the civilian populations of East Prussia, Silesia, Pomerania and other parts of Eastern Europe, Reinhart says.
“It’s documented; it’s just been ignored, concealed and forgotten,” she says, noting Nobel Prize-winner Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, a captain in the Red Army who witnessed the atrocities and recounted them in his poem, “Prussian Nights.” A survivor of the slaughter, Margot Serowy, tells her story in paintings at MargotSoweryFineArt.com.
Anticipating Germany’s defeat in World War II, Soviet Premier Joseph Stalin considered the territories he would eventually claim and decided they should be cleared of all Germans, Reinhart says. Soldiers in the Red Army were encouraged to burn, loot, pillage, rape and kill to drive the Germans out of those areas beginning in January 1945.
“England’s prime minister, Winston Churchill, was informed of the plan and referred to it– approvingly – in 1944 as ‘these population transferences,’ ’’ Reinhart says. “Churchill personally ordered the massive bombing and destruction of East Prussia’s capital Konigsberg for no justifiable strategic reason and a few months later, the British bombed and leveled Dresden, killing 30.000 to 40.000 civilians. These attacks helped pave the way for Stalin’s genocide.”
The“revenge” soldiers, she added, were supplied with food, trucks, Jeeps and other vehicles by the United States.
“Because the victims were German, it was all right to rape children and murder women. No one tried to stop it,” Reinhart says. “And, apparently, it’s all right to kill men, women and children in Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Burma – the rest of the countries on the Genocide Watch list.
“We need to hold the perpetrators accountable. That’s the first step to stopping these atrocities.”

Renata Reinhart is the pen name of the author, a scholar of World War II history who spent years researching the Red Army’s march across Eastern Europe in 1945. While the book is fictionalized as a memoir, the historical elements are accurate and based on numerous documented sources.

for what it's worth...a day in the life of Israel

Palestinian Youth Murdered by Israeli Army

The Israeli army murdered a Palestinian youth outside his school, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam high school in Yabad village, west of Jenin. This school had been closed from 2001-2006.

A military jeep with the license plate number 655474 left the main road to turn into the access road to the school where a group of male students gathered close to the main entrance of the school. The jeep was driving at a fast speed and targeted Foad Mahmoud Naiyf Turkuman (age 17) who was crouching down close to a small concrete wall. According to eye witnesses (one of his teachers and three of his friends), the jeep hit Foad directly and pushed him against the wall. Due to the impact, Foad was thrown 2.5 meters and fell to the ground in front of the vehicle. The driver of the jeep then drove his vehicle forward running two wheels over Foad's chest and torso of the already injured youth a second time. He then stopped the engine and called for reinforcement, claiming mechanical failure. The driver of the jeep closed the gate of the school and did not allow any of the teachers’ cars to go out and take the injured student from the ground, or help him.

A second jeep with the license plate number 611041 arrived. The newly arrived soldiers threw tear gas at three friends of Foad's standing nearby as well as into the school court yard to prevent anyone from coming to the scene. About 24 students were injured by the tear gas. Eventually, the second jeep towed the first one away to underline the claimed mechanical failure. While the media portrayed the event as an accident, the Palestinians clearly see it as a deliberate murder. Some witnesses documented the event with their mobile phone cameras.

When Foad's brother, Mahdi Mahmoud Naiyf Turkuman ran to the scene to help his brother, the soldiers blocked his way. He injured his wrist when he slammed his hand against the jeep in an attempt to get through. As teachers and students tried to come to Foad's rescue, saying that they will call an ambulance to take him to the hospital, the soldiers allegedly asked what was the problem and if anyone was injured!

Foad, who was seriously injured, was left unattended for 30 minutes because the army prohibited anyone from approaching. Finally, the teachers and a relative were allowed to rescue him and take him to Jenin hospital in a relative's private car. He died from his injuries at the hospital an hour later. His brother Mahdi had to be sedated by injection since he witnessed the murder of his own brother and was in shock.

Eye witnesses mentioned that the soldiers obviously assumed that the boys were about to throw stones. Since the Israeli army is not supposed to use their guns on stone throwers, they seemed to have opted to use their jeep as a weapon instead.

Most of the students were in their classes, but a few were finishing up and going to their homes.

Foad's family, who are refugees from Haifa since 1948, decided to file suit for murder against the Israeli army.

Background
The village of Yabad is surrounded by five illegal settlements, Mevo Dotan, Hermesh, Rehan, Shaqed, and Hinnanit. The Separation Wall is located west of Yabad village. Since 2003, the new road 585, located south of Yabad, is used primarily for military vehicles. Before that, the military used the old road. There is a checkpoint with 3 towers close to the school.
The Separation Wall, the Israeli-only road and the illegal settlements claimed 2,000 donums of land belonging to Yabad farmers. Since 2001, a total of 40% of Palestinian land has been lost throughout the West Bank.
One of the reasons why the military jeeps are coming to the area of the school is that the Israeli army is checking the water level for Yabad village once a month. Water is a serious issue here as everywhere else in the West Bank. Only 9% of the total available water resources are accessible to Palestinians, 91% are appropriated for Israeli use.

...Israel...Mr.Obama..

OBAMA’S THOUGHTS on the eve of the conference:...copied from somewhere...
The main thing is to minimize the damage.
Before my election, I believed that one could influence people with logic. After all, peace is essential for the Israelis as much as for the Palestinians. What chance has Israel, if within a few years the entire Arab world falls into the hands of the extreme Islamists? And what chance will moderate Palestinians have? Don’t they understand this? They drive me crazy.
[Henry] Kissinger said that Israel has no foreign policy, only domestic policy. That is true also for the Palestinians, and – alas – for us Americans, too. Domestic politics is dominant everywhere.
The economy is in a mess. The situation in Afghanistan is as bad as possible. (What the hell got into me during the election campaign, when I promised to go on with this war?!) The crackpots of the Tea Party are gathering momentum. I suspect that the Jewish lobby is secretly helping them. Who is running the campaign about me not having been born in the United States? A Jewish Israeli woman. And the campaign about me being a Muslim? Another Jewish woman. They want to bring me down. And why? Because I want to make peace, which is in Israel’s best interest!
Now the main thing is to get through the elections in November without too heavy losses. As I told Rahm [Emanuel], at this point in time we must suck up to the Jews. That’s why I appeased again and again that repugnant guy, Netanyahu. Now we must find some compromise about the settlement moratorium.
My God, here we are, leaders who are responsible for the fate of nations, busy with nonsense like the freeze, instead of concentrating on forging a peace that will save the lives of thousands and tens of thousands!
The main thing is to get September 26 behind us, when the moratorium comes to an end, and then the November 2 elections. After that, God knows. Perhaps I shall succeed, after all, in creating a situation which will allow me to present my own peace plan and impose it on them. Ever so softly, of course.

“Many people don’t realize that genocide is occurring every day all over the world,” says Renata Reinhart, author of In the Course of My Life (www.rexvita.com), an account of the little-known Soviet genocide of 2 million Eastern Germans in 1945, committed with the complicity of England and the United States.
“Studies by genocide scholars prove that the single best predictor of future genocide is denial of a past genocide coupled with impunity for its perpetrators,” he says. “Genocide deniers are three times more likely to commit genocide again than other governments.”
“England’s prime minister, Winston Churchill, was informed of the plan and referred to it – approvingly – in 1944 as ‘these population tranferences,’ ’’ Reinhart says.
The “revenge” soldiers, she added, were supplied with food, trucks, Jeeps and other vehicles by the United States.

Carlos Villareos, American ...says

American Empire and the Killing of Osama bin Laden
I’m not sure the killing of Osama bin Laden was a good thing. I find the acts he’s said to have masterminded to be horrific. I also recognize that in some cases killing is necessary and even produces positive results, such as the necessary killing of someone to protect the lives of others. So I neither have sympathy for the guy nor am I a pacifist. But my gut reaction on the evening I learned bin Laden had been killed was disgust at the celebrations and concern for what his killing might actually mean for the future of my nation’s “War on Terrror.”

What bothered me most about the celebrations was the inappropriate, and mostly childish, acting out. The images I saw, particularly outside the White House, of an overwhelmingly young, white crowd waving American flags around as if they were at a pep rally; and the fact that the corporate media and most politicians saw these celebrations as appropriate and even moving, made me fear more for the future than a living bin Laden ever did. They demonstrated a boost to American nationalism - at least that’s the way it appeared that evening and in the days following - the kind of sentiment that fuels the killing of millions around the world by American imperialism.

crime

Most of the TV networks were occupied last week with the shooting of a kid in Florida. The 14 year old  happened to be black, wearing a hoody and was killed with a pistol, a single bullet by a neighourhood watch type, white.

Two things here,first:- black kid wearing hoody in a neighborhood he did not appear to be part or resident of. Late April a few years ago my front area alarm went off, at 5 o.clock in the morning.
Bare feet, shorts half asleep I rushed out of the door to confront three hoody charactors attempting to break into my van.Yes blacks, yes hoodies and yes I've had two previous thefts from the van within a year. I was stupid enough and enraged to chase these three idiots away,it took the police more than an hour to respond to my call. They told my I was silly to chase the three, they could have been armed.

And, second:-handguns are illegal, here. Mere possession of such a device will lead to criminal prosecution. A neighbourhood watch volunteer type would never get a permit to carry such a weapon.
What is my point?
Crimes, such as break in's into or theft of vehicles are often not reported or ignored. Most of the residents on my street have had their vehicle broken into or stolen. But rarely will this sort of crime end up in killing the culprit.

Germany, Frau Merkel

Please don't get me wrong...it's not that I dislike the Chancellor... Mrs. Merkel; or the fact that she is  a woman...nothing like that whatsoever I assure you.
What  bothers me is her obvious  ignorance of historical facts and the total sucking up to the Americans.
And again...I am not anti American, hell....I'm German born with a green card in Florida but why is it wrong to disagree with the crimes committed by the US administration...like Truman, or Bush II or those associated with the rulers of the USA who clearly committed crimes against humanity.

I have lived in North America for over 50 years. I own a nice home in Florida.I enjoy the freedom of being able to speak out in Canada and or the USA. That should not mean that when the German Chancellor talks about the USA and uses vocabulary in referring to Americans as  unsere Befreier, translate our liberators...that I have to buy this crap and agree with it.
The war with Germany was just about over back in 1945, the country, Germany more than 85% destroyed when Churchill decided on one more act of total revenge. Dresden. This beautiful city was filled with fleeing women and children, who were heading west from the Russian and Polish regions, there was no significant military value in or about Dresden, when it was decided to totally destroy this place and kill, burn to death somewhere between 1/4 and 1/2 million innocent civilians and refugees.

You have to be an idiot to consider this stupid revenge  act as anything  describing liberation- it was nothing short of mass murder; please Frau Merkel...study the history. And while you're at it look at Nagasaki and Hiroshima..and the Truman revenge connection. Was it really necessary to kill 1/4 million people with the atomic bomb at a time the Japanese were ready to call it quits? And why the second bomb just a few days later. But that's another story, a tragedy in my view, nothing for the American administration under Truman  to be proud of.

Computer stuff, like you need more of it?

If you need to check for malware here are my recommendations - these will allow you to do
a thorough check and removal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident which can cause as many issues as the malware and maybe harder to detect as the
cause.

No one program can be relied upon to detect and remove all malware. Added that often easy
to detect malware is often accompanied by a much harder to detect and remove payload. So
its better to be overly thorough now than to pay the high price later. Check with these to an
extreme overkill point and then run the cleanup only when you are very sure the system is clean.

These can be done in Safe Mode - repeatedly tap F8 as you boot however you should also run
them in regular Windows when you can.

Download malwarebytes and scan with it, run MRT, and add Prevx to be sure it is gone.
(If Rootkits run UnHackMe)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put it - Right Click on it - RUN AS ADMIN

Malwarebytes - free

virtual pc doctor

heard of "Virtual PC Doctor?"

Has anyone heard of "virtual pc doctor"? A friend asked me to look into this. She received an unsolicited call from someone claiming to be from a company with the above name saying that there has been alot of computer problems in her area, and that they can fix the problems but first they need to access her computer to find the errors. She was given a website to go to, a password kinda thing to enter and then voila, they were in her computer. Anyhow to make a long story longer, she realized afterward that perhaps they were not legit, and is now worried about what they could have done. I told her the possibilities were infinate, from identity theft, to viruses to phishing and on and on. Or they could be legit but i doubt it...or, at the end of it all they spouted off all the errors they supposedly found and said for 250 dollars they could fix it, and this would give her a subscription for their service to continue...so it could be just a straight forward financial scam....has anyone heard of them and if so, what is their game if any and what do you suggest for her now that she has already given them access at least once.

Company of Young Canadians

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Company of Young Canadians (CYC) was a short-lived Canadian youth program sponsored by the Canadian federal government, which existed from 1966 to 1977. It was inspired by the U.S. Peace Corps, but was designed to be run autonomously without government direction.
It generated considerable controversy shortly after its founding: coordination with volunteers in small communities was poorly organized, and several of the youth involved in the program were prominent political activists. Among other things, it was accused in 1969 of harbouring terrorists by municipal officials from Montreal, including Mayor Jean Drapeau. These claims were never verified. In March 1970 its administration was taken over by the federal government, and in 1977 it was formally abolished.

The Peace Corps

The Peace Corps traces its roots and mission to 1960, when then Senator John F. Kennedy challenged students at the University of Michigan to serve their country in the cause of peace by living and working in developing countries. From that inspiration grew an agency of the federal government devoted to world peace and friendship.
Since that time, 200,000+ Peace Corps Volunteers have served in 139 host countries to work on issues ranging from AIDS education to information technology and environmental preservation.
Today's Peace Corps is more vital than ever, working in emerging and essential areas such as information technology and business development, and contributing to the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. Peace Corps Volunteers continue to help countless individuals who want to build a better life for themselves, their children, and their communities.
